Empacher Yellow Spray Paint is a fast-drying one-component acrylic paint (1K) in the original Empacher colour. The 400 ml aerosol can is particularly suitable for minor touch-ups and repair work, as well as for areas where application with a spray gun would involve additional effort.
The paint provides high covering power and good flow. After drying, it forms a smooth, glossy and polishable surface. According to the manufacturer, the coating is weather-resistant, lightfast and UV-resistant, with lasting colour and gloss retention.

Suitable Substrates
According to the manufacturer, the acrylic paint is suitable for substrates including metal, wood, glass and paintable rigid plastics. When applying over existing coating systems, compatibility of the spray paint should always be checked beforehand by carrying out a test application on an inconspicuous area.
Do not apply over surfaces coated with synthetic resin paint.
Surface Preparation
A sound and carefully prepared substrate is essential for a satisfactory coating result. The surface must be clean, dry and free from grease. Remove loose or poorly adhering existing coatings and any rust. Then abrade the area to be painted and remove all sanding dust thoroughly.
Where required, apply a suitable primer matched to the respective substrate. According to the manufacturer, plastic components should be pre-treated with a suitable plastic primer.
Application
- Prepare the substrate and check coating compatibility.
- Before use, shake the aerosol can thoroughly for approximately 3 minutes.
- Carry out a test spray before applying the actual coating.
- Maintain a spraying distance of approximately 25 cm.
- Apply several thin coats using a cross-coat technique.
- Observe the manufacturer's specified application temperature of +10 to +25 °C.
Several thin spray coats are preferable to one heavy application. This helps achieve a more uniform coating and reduces the risk of runs, sagging or an uneven surface finish.

Note on repair painting:
On components that have been in service for an extended period, the existing colour may have changed due to ageing, weathering and UV exposure. Therefore, even when using the original Empacher colour, a visible colour difference between the existing surface and the repaired area may occur. A test application on an inconspicuous area is recommended before use.
