With a flow rate of 6 l/min and an ultimate vacuum of 100 mbar absolute, the P1-N is designed for small, well-sealed vacuum systems. The fine control valve and vacuum gauge allow the working vacuum to be adjusted accurately.
The P1-N is the compact vacuum pump within the R&G range. It is particularly suitable for smaller CFRP and GFRP parts, sandwich structures, laboratory applications and vacuum bagging work in aircraft, boat and automotive model making.
A typical application is bonding veneer skins to foam-core model aircraft wings or consolidating smaller sandwich components under vacuum. In these applications, the surface area of the part alone is not the decisive factor; the enclosed air volume and the leak-tightness of the complete vacuum bagging setup are equally important.
The P1-N achieves an ultimate vacuum of 100 mbar absolute, the same ultimate pressure as the P2-N and P3. The main difference between these three pumps is therefore their flow rate. As mould size, bag volume and hose length increase, a higher pumping capacity reduces the time required to reach the working vacuum.

Selection guide: For small vacuum bagging setups, the P1-N is generally sufficient. As the enclosed air volume increases, the P2-N, P3 and particularly the VT 4.10 reduce evacuation time considerably. Where a lower absolute pressure is required, the P3-SPECIAL is the appropriate choice.

The R&G version is equipped with a silencer, fine control valve, vacuum gauge and connection for hose with 6 mm internal diameter. A connection for 10 mm internal diameter is available as an option.
Practical note: Where grinding dust, chips or paint mist may be present, a suitable filter should be installed in the suction line. Contamination entering the pump can impair the diaphragm and valves and reduce pumping performance.
