High-capacity, oil-free diaphragm vacuum pump for large composite parts and larger enclosed air volumes.
With a flow rate of 55 l/min, the P3 provides the highest pumping capacity of the diaphragm pumps in this R&G range. The ultimate vacuum is 100 mbar absolute.
The P3 is designed for larger vacuum bagging setups where air must be removed quickly from moulds, vacuum bags and hose systems. Typical applications include larger CFRP and GFRP laminates, sandwich panels, mould making and vacuum processing in aircraft and boat building.
Compared with the P2-N, the flow rate increases from 30 to 55 l/min, while both pumps achieve an ultimate vacuum of 100 mbar absolute. The advantage of the P3 therefore lies not in a lower ultimate pressure, but in its substantially higher pumping capacity and shorter evacuation time.
For very large moulds and correspondingly high enclosed air volumes, the VT 4.10 provides substantially greater pumping capacity. Where a significantly lower absolute pressure is required, for example for resin infusion or degassing processes, the P3-SPECIAL is designed for a different operating range.
Which Vacuum Pump Is Right for My Application?
P1-N
6 l/min · 100 mbar abs.
Small composite parts, model making and smaller vacuum bagging applications
P2-N
30 l/min · 100 mbar abs.
General-purpose vacuum bagging and larger moulds
P3
55 l/min · 100 mbar abs.
Large composite parts and high pumping capacity
P3-SPECIAL
30 l/min · 13 mbar abs.
Resin infusion and applications requiring a lower absolute pressure
VT 4.10
10 m³/h (approx. 167 l/min) · 150 mbar abs.
Very large parts, high air-handling capacity and continuous industrial operation
Selection guide: The P3 is the appropriate diaphragm pump when an ultimate pressure of 100 mbar absolute is required together with high pumping capacity. The VT 4.10 moves considerably more air in very large setups, whereas the P3-SPECIAL achieves a substantially lower ultimate pressure.

The R&G version is equipped with a silencer, fine control valve, vacuum gauge and hose connection.
Practical note: In large vacuum bagging setups, the ultimate pressure is only one aspect of pump performance. A high flow rate significantly reduces evacuation time, particularly during the initial evacuation phase.
