Versatile, oil-free diaphragm vacuum pump for larger moulds and regular vacuum bagging work.
The P2-N achieves an ultimate vacuum of 100 mbar absolute and, at 30 l/min, provides five times the flow rate of the P1-N. This makes it a versatile workshop pump for composite parts of different sizes.
The P2-N is intended for users who regularly process composite parts under vacuum and require considerably more pumping capacity than a small laboratory or model-making pump. Typical applications include CFRP and GFRP laminates, sandwich structures, larger vacuum bags and moulds.
The P1-N and P2-N both achieve an ultimate vacuum of 100 mbar absolute. The key difference is therefore the flow rate: 30 l/min compared with 6 l/min. Larger enclosed air volumes can consequently be evacuated much faster, while additional capacity is available for larger moulds and longer hose runs.
As a practical guideline, R&G specifies mould surfaces of up to approximately 10 m². This should not be regarded as a fixed limit. The enclosed air volume, vacuum integrity of the bagging setup, hose diameter and required evacuation time are equally important.
Which Vacuum Pump Is Right for My Application?
P1-N
6 l/min · 100 mbar abs.
Small composite parts, model making and smaller vacuum bagging applications
P2-N
30 l/min · 100 mbar abs.
General-purpose vacuum bagging and larger moulds
P3
55 l/min · 100 mbar abs.
Large composite parts and high pumping capacity
P3-SPECIAL
30 l/min · 13 mbar abs.
Resin infusion and applications requiring a lower absolute pressure
VT 4.10
10 m³/h (approx. 167 l/min) · 150 mbar abs.
Very large parts, high air-handling capacity and continuous industrial operation
Selection guide: The P2-N is the versatile option between the compact P1-N and the higher-capacity P3. For very large enclosed air volumes, the VT 4.10 provides substantially greater pumping capacity. Where a lower absolute pressure is required, the P3-SPECIAL is the more suitable choice.

The R&G version is equipped with a fine control valve, vacuum gauge, silencer and hose connection.
Practical note: In vacuum applications, the pump should preferably not be positioned at the lowest point in the system. This helps prevent condensate from collecting in the pump head and placing unnecessary load on the diaphragm and valves.
